    • International PCB Workshop in 2010

      The Sixth International PCB Workshop, entitled Persistent Pollutants Require Persistent Solutions, will be held in Visby, Sweden, from 30 May to 2 June 2010. (9 February 2010)

    • Licensed hunting of 27 wolves in 2010

      The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has decided that 27 wolves may be shot under licence during the period 2 January – 15 February. (22 December 2009)

    • Bibliometric evaluation of research programs

      A new report concerns the publication and citation performance of researchers within programs financed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The overall quality of the publications funded by the programs is impressive. (18 December)

    • Swedish commitments in Baltic Sea Plan

      The whole proposal contains some 150 measures within  areas such as eutrophication, hazardous substances, biodiversity and fishing, and maritime issues. (17 December)

    • Green public procurement

      Conference documentation from the international conference "Green public procurement – Taking it to the next level".(2 December 2009)

    • New website: Swedish Pollutant Release and Transfer Register

      The new website is an emission register resembling the registers that exist in several countries, in Europe and globally. The register contains a database concerning emissions from the roughly 1,000 largest companies in Sweden. (24 November)

    • Climate impact of new cars

      Carbon dioxide emissions from new cars in Sweden fell by 3.1 per cent in the first half of 2009 compared with the whole of 2008, from 174 to 169 grams per kilometre. (21 October)

    • The EU meeting in Visby
