At your computer

Even if you cannot visit us in person, there is much information that you can find as long as you have an Internet connection. Here are some suggestions for search engines that you can access when you are sitting at your computer and that can help you find references or the actual publications.

Environmental literature in libraries

Library catalogues contain references to books, journals, magazines and reports, sometimes including links to full-text documents. A useful tool when you want to find out what literature there are and where to find it.

Journals, magazines, articles and web pages

When you are looking for journals, magazines, articles, pre-prints, dissertations, reports, abstracts and the like, it may be wise to use search engines which specialise in academic sources. There are subject portals where recognised providers offer access to material in their respective fields. In addition, there are open archives with peer-reviewed content.

Sources relating to the European Union

There are many sources relating to the EU, here are some useful links. In addition the library stocks books, reports and periodicals with a focus on the environmental field.

Dictionaries

Standard dictionaries are not always enough when you need to understand and express yourself correctly. Here we suggest some web resources within the environmental field, that you may find useful when you are looking for the appropiate word.

Reference books

Resources useful for quick reference or for a brief explanation of sometimes complicated issues.
