About our website

We try to make sure that the contents of our website are accessible and useful to as many people as possible.

Navigating our website

There are several ways to find the information you want on our website. The main ones are the Menu, Issues and Search tabs on the right.

Menu: Here we have sorted our information according to subject areas. Each subject area is further divided into sub-areas on at least three levels.

Issues: Here our information is grouped according to the issues which generate the most interest.

Search: Contains a search function, an A–Z index and a site map.

Changing the look of our website

If you think the text on our pages is too small, you can easily enlarge it using the built-in functions of your web browser. You will find options for changing text size in the menus of your browser.

Printing pages

To print pages from our website, use your web browser’s built-in print function. Menus and other navigation aids will not be included in the printouts.

File formats

The file formats used on our website are PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

To view a PDF file, you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader application (Version 7.0 or higher), which is free of charge.

If you do not have applications enabling you to view files in the Word, Excel or PowerPoint formats, you can download Microsoft Viewers free of charge.

Our website contains a number of Javascripts. Their function may be, for example, to ensure that the cursor is placed in the correct field of a form or that certain kinds of links open in a separate window. None of these functions is critical for the operation of the website.

Copyright

Most photos and illustrations on our website are protected by the copyright of the photographer or the illustrator. This means that you may not use those images without the permission of the photographer or illustrator. The name of the photographer or illustrator will appear when you move your mouse pointer across the image.

The other images are owned by us. You may use them freely, but we expect you to quote the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency as your source.

Linking policy

Feel free to link to naturvardsverket.se, but please observe the following:
- Do not use the logotype of the Swedish EPA when linking to our website. We want to avoid any doubt as to who is responsible for the information on the website where the link is located.
